Strength Without Grinding

Add to My Favorites

Hello, friends.

Today’s Ten-Minute Morning is about rising without grinding.

Our culture rewards pushing, pressing, and powering through — especially this time of year. In this short, steady practice, we explore another option: building strength, energy, and grounding without unnecessary effort.

You’ll move through familiar shapes — cat–cow, Down Dog, Malasana, Chair Pose, simple flows — with an emphasis on where energy is needed and where it isn’t. The work is real, but it’s intentional. Strong legs without tense shoulders. Active support without strain. Effort that can flow instead of getting stuck.

As I say near the end of practice:

Energy with no place to go becomes tension. Energy that can move is strengthening.

My hope is that this practice helps you start your day with clarity — directing effort where it matters and softening where it doesn’t.
