The Daily Flow Practice Blog is completely free to everyone. Each post includes reflections and insights, as well as video and audio content, that I think will help us move forward to our deepest practice. I say “we” because, like you, I’m just a student. The only difference is that (a) I have a website and (b) I spend a lot of time thinking about this stuff.

So let’s make this a conversation! Keep in touch. Comment on the blog posts. Come take class. I can’t wait to get to know you better.


It is surprising to a lot of Westerners to learn that the third of Patañjali's Eight Limbs is Asana. Of course, he had no sense of the modern meaning of that word. He just meant "steady seat." We bring the mind under fuller control if we can sit still.

We started 2024 with our Mindfulness Series, exploring a new topic and the “power” it contains. Then, beginning in April 2024, we started our Deep Dive into the Eight Limbs of Yoga, as outlined by Patañjali in the Yoga Sutras.

It’s never
about the shape.

When most folks (especially in the West) hear “yoga,” they imagine people twisted into pretzels, standing on their hands or so completely woo-woo that their feet never touch the ground.

I won’t lie: I know some of those folks, and most of them are pretty great … but it’s not me.

Daily Flow Yoga + Meditation is here for folks like us who want to incorporate simple, do-able mindfulness practices every day but don’t really know where to start.
