Smoother Transitions

Add to My Favorites

Give yourself a little more room to move in this 10-Minute Morning Yoga flow. Today I explore how pushing the floor away, rounding the spine and drawing the knee toward the chest can create space for transitions between a lunge and down dog split.

On Fridays we flow. I guide you through crescent lunges, twists, Warrior I and II, and Warrior III, building from a slower exploration into a flowing sequence. Along the way, I work on finding my grounding before shifting into balance—and embrace the wobble when it arrives.

Card Pull

After the movement, I return to the card I refer to as the “death card,” with the message: “Remember the time of death is uncertain. Live well now.” I take some time to work through what that means to me. Eventually, I find myself reflecting on the loss we can feel when a relationship, an old way of thinking or a chapter of life comes to an end. Take a breath, mourn it, and find the new life.
