Give your shoulders room to move in this 10-Minute Morning Yoga practice. Join me for a Friday flow with sweeping arm circles, Warrior transitions and side stretches, following the breath as we move through a lively start to the day.
We begin with standing breath and movement, then explore wide-legged forward folds, Warrior I and II, Peaceful Warrior, extended side angle and revolved lunges. Our second round adds Humble Warrior and the option to explore Wild Thing. Stay afterward for a moment of rest and a reflection on what it means to keep a balanced, curious mind.
Card Pull
Today’s card is “The Self” from the Yoga Wisdom Oracle Deck. It depicts an L-shaped headstand, and its printed message reads:
“When your mind is balanced, you abide in your true nature.”
I reflect on the relationship between faith and questioning, and why I believe there is room for both. Minds were made to think. For me, finding balance includes feeling confident in what I know while staying willing to ask questions and reconsider.
